Become a Great WASH Yatra fellow!
Become a TGWY fellow and experience the chaotic beauty and bustling quiet of rural India while using your creative talents (whether it’s singing, dancing, painting, writing, building or blogging) to help spread our message to the world, and create something incredible along the way.
The TGWY Fellowship Program is a 45-75 day program during the Great WASH Yatra that is designed for socially conscious creative individuals. TGWY fellows will work within The Great WASH Yatra team to create unique, innovative output that also helps spread the WASH message to the world.

The Great WASH Yatra
The Great WASH Yatra is a traveling carnival with WASH (WAter, Sanitation & Hygiene) themed rides, games and performances that will travel from 03.10.2012 to 19.11.2012 (World Toilet Day) through India. In this way the Yatra will reach around 100 Million Indian people. It is a multi-channel, mega-campaign that seeks to promote awareness and behavior change around sanitation and hygiene in India. The Yatra reflects our belief that even a problem as grave as India’s rural sanitation crisis can be addressed in a fun, innovative manner. As a TGWY fellow, you will tap into that same vision of doing things differently.
